Riccardo Giacomin is an Italian corporate lawyer specialized in international sports law and currently serves as Founding Partner and Head of the Sport Department at Bergs&More, a multi-jurisdictional firm with offices in Milan, Padua, Dubai, Doha and Nairobi. He is widely recognized for his deep expertise in the motorsport industry, where he advises federations, racing teams, rights holders, sponsors and investors on complex cross-border corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.

Education and career path

Riccardo Giacomin earned his law degree from the University of Padua and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Sports Law and Practice with distinction from De Montfort University. His professional journey began in international law firms, including Of Counsel roles in Chile and Peru, before joining Rödl & Partner, where he spent over six years rising from Junior Associate to Associate Partner and Head of the Sport Department in Italy. During this period, he built a strong track record in the automotive and motorsport sectors, advising major sporting events and handling international contract drafting and management across Europe and the Gulf region. In June 2021, he co-founded Bergs&More alongside Eugenio Bettella and other partners, creating a “project-based” firm designed to deliver integrated legal, tax and business advisory services to global sports operators.

Motorsport expertise

Riccardo Giacomin’s motorsport practice is among the most distinguished in Europe. He has advised clients operating in Formula 1, MotoGP, World Endurance Championship and IndyCar on partnership structuring, sponsorship agreements, commercial rights, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution. Notable engagements include supporting GPNFTS in its entry as a partner of IndyCar team Juncos Hollinger Racing through an innovative NFT- and metaverse-based project developed with Velas, a former Premium Partner of Scuderia Ferrari.
